Stages of Pregnancy

Each pregnancy in a woman’s life is a period of time, when a woman carries a fertilized egg, embryo, or fetus in her body. Stages of Pregnancy

This state is divided into three trimesters. Each trimester lasts around 13 weeks. During the 1st trimester some women may not feel they are pregnant, except that there is no monthly menstrual period. Some women may feel such symptoms as morning sickness, fatigue, dizziness and frequent urination. Some or all of these symptoms may last during the 2nd trimester, when a uterus has still not grown large enough to be partially uncomfortable.

During the 2nd trimester, many women describe it as the easiest part of pregnancy, but such symptoms like sweating, constipation, headache, sinus and nasal congestion may occur.

During the 3rd trimester other symptoms may develop, such as backaches, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, heartburn, shortness of breath, sleep disturbances, leg and abdominal cramps.

If you compare the 1st trimester, and the beginning of 2nd, women see improved headache symptoms. Most of the pregnant women develop emotional changes, while pregnant that may occur in their job, lifestyle, health, finances, and relationship. Numerous women feel miserable, either physically, or psychologically. Some may have trouble adjusting to their expanded size of body and may feel that they are no more sexually attractive.

In other cases, problems may be the fear of losing a job, affording for your family, and losing or hurting the baby. Women, who are going to have their first baby can be confused, scared or overwhelmed by realization that they will be responsible for another human being. Those women who have all those issues should talk to their doctor or child birth educator. Any woman over 35 years of age, who is considering of becoming pregnant, may improve her odds of having a healthy baby by learning about the many risks and being sure to get preexisting medical conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure. They should also seek preconception counseling.
