Exhibitionism occurs when an individual, usually a male exposes his genitals to an unsuspecting stranger and becomes sexually excited, when he does so. Masturbation can ensue after such exposure. Further sexual contact is almost happened, so exhibitionist very rarely commits rape. Most apprehended exhibitionists are usually under the age of 40. Although females can exhibit her body, in a provocative way, an exhibitionism is very rare considering a psychosexual disorder in females.
