Enbrel

Details

Enbrel (etanercept) used in treatment of psoriasis conditions ranging with moderate to chronic symptoms in adult patients over the age of 18 who are potential candidates for phototherapy or systemic therapy. Enbrel is a drug known as a tumor necrosis factor (TNF) that blocks an individual’s immune system’s substance TNF. People with disease conditions such as psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis possess too much TNF in the patient’s body. Some possible side effects associated with Enbrel may include: serious infections in individuals with advanced diabetes and tuberculosis (in rare cases). You should not take Enbrel if you have the flu, open mouth sores, or are allergic to any of Enbrel’s ingredients. If you are susceptible to any types of infections you should notify your physician prior to taking Enbrel, and stop using the medication if a serious infection results. Notify your doctor if you have had heart failure treatment in the past as well or experienced seizures, eye nerve inflammation, or multiple sclerosis. If you experience fever that won’t go away, palness, bleeding, or bruising while taking Enbrel, immediately get in touch with your doctor. If you suffer from RA (rheumatoid arthritis), Embrel can help by reducing symptoms with this active disease. Individuals with Polyarticular Course Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA) can find relief by using Embrel for symptom control as well as in patients with psoriatic arthritis. Results will vary from one individual to another. Many individuals showed improvement after 2 months of treatment therapy with this drug, and in general Embrel has been shown to work relatively fast and be effective through therapy lasting 12 months. Keep Embrel far away from reach of children and away from animals in a safe container.
