Any forms of exercise may be beneficial for you, whether it is biking or playing basketball. Such aerobic exercises when done for at least 15 minutes provides energy for your muscles. Swimming, bicycling and walking uses the large muscles in your trunk, legs, and upper body. Those types of exercises strengthens your heart and makes it work more efficiently during rest. Exercises done by using machines or free weights may also strengthen your heart and improve posture. Flexibility exercises such as stretching helps maintain complete range of motion in your joints and can prevent muscle soreness and injury. Any kind of activity counts toward your goal.
