The Bayer Pharmaceutical Material Science segment offers thermoplastic polyurethane granulates and polycarbonates, sheets, polycarbonate blends, and polycarbonate films. This segment also produces plastic films, cellulose, derivatives, and offers such products like Tantalum, Niobium, Tungsten, Molybdenum, and their compounds for industrial customers in aerospace, chemical, lightning, electronic, tooling, and optical component companies. Bayer sells its products through governmental agencies, wholesalers, hospitals, pharmacies, network of distributors, and directly to individuals in Asia, Europe, and North America. Bayer Pharmaceutical Company was named by Farbenfabriken Bayer AG in 1951 and changed its name to Bayer AG in 1972. The company is located in Leverkusen, Germany and trades under the stock symbol: BAY on the NASDAQ exchange.
