Aspirin is a nonsteroidal, anti-inflammatory drug. This drug can be purchased over-the counter. Aspirin’s main uses are for treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, backache, muscle ache, control of fever, prevention of heart attack and stroke, headache, and other conditions as pain after dental work or surgery. Doses are wary on age and the type of illness. It is strongly recommended to swallow the tablet with an 8 oz. glass of water or milk and should be used exactly as doctor prescribed. Never crush, break or chew the tablet. It may take 40 to 60 minute for pain relief or fever but for other uses it may take several days as required. Aspirin can also be used for other health conditions.
